Jasmine Loh is the Owner and Operator of SnowPatch Repairs, a home-based business in Kimberley, BC.

Originally from the BC coast, she was fortunate to spend much of her time guiding or on personal trips in the mountains and on the ocean. This was also an opportunity to field test the durability and quality of outdoor gear!

Starting in the late 90s, (back when staff product and customer service training actually took two full weeks and there was ongoing training), she spent 10 years in retail sales at Mountain Equipment Co-op learning about, selling, and working with outdoor garments and products.

She’s also a former sea kayaking and bear viewing guide, as well as a NOLS (National Outdoor Leadership School) Instructor. Responsibilities included having to maintain guiding gear and do field repairs during extended trips.

Having a passion for fixing things, she realized she’s successfully repaired her own gear and that of friends for over two decades now. One day, a friend said, "You're always fixing my gear, you should try doing it as a job."

And so, in November of 2023, she threaded the needle, and has since been repairing outdoor clothing and gear as a business.

Last May, to up her game, she took the Introduction to Warranty Level Repairs and Sewing course at Gear Restore in Calgary, Alberta.
