Tell me a bit about seam taping repair
Seam taping is applied using heat and pressure. The tape is a strong, flexible adhesive bonded to a fabric, polyurethane or other, backing material. Generally, there are several kinds and it needs to be a match for the material it is bonded to, usually coated nylon, neoprene and 2 or 3 layer, waterproof breathable laminate fabrics. It seals up the needle holes from stitching and prevents water from leaking through. As well, it adds strength and a “high tech”, finished look to the seam. Some garments are even held together with just seam tape and glue! Seam taping starts at $20/m
