Component Replacement

One of the most satisfying repairs! Hooks, loops, clips, buckles, cord locks, snaps, grommets, rivets... on packs, shoes, tents, jackets, vests....It's....riveting. Starting at $10-15 per item. Price increases with any added sewing time and difficulty accessing the area to switch out the component. Sometimes hammers, pliers and drills are involved!

As the exact component can be obsolete or difficult/impossible to source, and there are heaps of unique and proprietary versions of these little doodads:

• the new one may not match

• more than just one half may need replacing

• sometimes the only option is a used one pilfered off donor gear or a totally different component with a similar function.
